Part of healthy dating is you simply have to be vulnerable. Being vulnerable opens you up to the “what if” that God has for you. Dating requires bravery.

Along the way you may/will meet some crazies.

One of my coaching participants joined Meet Up on my recommendation. This is a good recommendation for many reasons.

A guy messaged her with a simple “Hi.” She was flattered as she should be. It does feel good to be randomly noticed.

Her response back was “Tell me more about yourself.” Safe question, right?

This was the response she got back:

I love American food and also Italian food and most times, I love to cook for myself. I love Mc Donald. I love comfort food. I’d love to talk to you more and see what develops. What do you think? Well my life has been filled with so many ups and downs.I want to find a woman, who wants a relationship based on “Truth, Real Love (not a Heart Breaker) I think Compassion, Friendship, Loyalty, and Honesty are the attributes that makes a good relationship.I want to be able to do anything to make the woman of my heart happy, because “I Love Her, not because she tells me to do it.you Know what I mean? I want to be able to “spoil her” by opening the door for her, or carrying things for her, taking her shoes off when she’s back from somewhere for no special reason, but that I care for her. my late dad used to tell me that every man loves two women; one is the creation of his imagination, and the other is not yet born, you might have been hurt before, but i believe Just cos something good ends doesn’t mean something better won’t begin, i think love is blind but after experiencing it for a long time you should become familiar with some particular spots. I do travel outside of the States due to my work but i am going to take my retirement as soon as i am through with this last job, i am so happy that i will be able to spend the whole of my time with my woman. See, I don’t know everything about your past yet, and I don’t know what upsets you right now, but hope to know you better, so I don’t say or do anything to upset you, cos I hate that when I upset someone special to me. I love going out, taking walks down the park and thinking about my life, I love observing nature and cooking is also one of my hobbies. I love romantic movies. Can you tell me more about yourself? What do you really enjoy doing? What you do to have fun? What makes you laugh, smile, and cry? What kinds of music and movies do you like? Always remember that You can’t make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is up to the person to realize your worth, cant wait to hear back from you.

Women, if you receive something like this from a guy, I don’t think he’s all that interested in you. I think you may be number 1,009 on a list of women he has searched on Meet Up. Feel appropriately grossed out and move on.
